How many family members do you have?

에 is a locative particle and is attached to a noun (a place).
It indicates the place where the subject is or lives in.
It may also indicate a subject’s destination.

가 :동생은 어디에 있어요?

나 :집에 있어요.

2)

가 :누나는 어디에 살아요?

나 :몽골에 살아요.

3)

가 :어디에 가요?

나 :회사에 가요.
